A number of civilians were injured while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were left without electricity and encountered interruptions to water systems, as stated by municipal leaders.
Meanwhile, a young boy was fatally injured in a separate assault in the Zaporizhzhia region in the southeastern part, as reported by regional authorities.
Russian forces has escalated strikes on power infrastructure over the past few days, while the country's government has demanded "substantial measures" from allies to exert influence on Russia.
"The necessity is not window dressing but decisive action - from the United States, the EU and the G7 - in providing defensive weapons and enforcing penalties," mentioned in a social media post.
Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and several dozen missiles attacked Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.
Government representatives said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and maintenance teams were working to repair systems.
